JOB PURPOSE: Perform electrical installation, mechanical repairs through use of drawings, schematics and interpretation/knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations. Description:

Maintenance Actions:

-Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures-Assemble and prepare electrical components. -Install and test electrical components. -Ensure equipment is operational and safe prior to final test. -Perform Mechanical Disassembly, inspection & Reassembly. -Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems (Pumps, motors, rams, etc.) -Capital drilling equipment includes top drives, roughnecks, pipe racking systems and drawwork systems. - Electrical motors and associated control systems (various frequency drives, PLCs, etc.) - Properly document repair procedures in accordance with local policies. - Ensure accurate use and inventory of repair parts. -Perform other work related tasks as assigned. -Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

General:

  • Any other day to day tasks as may be required

Quality Assurance:

  • Carrying out all duties in accordance with the quality assurance procedures / departmental works instructions.

  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. - Assist in maintaining the security of the company. - Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. - Comply with OHS standards. - Obey all speed limits. - Wear all safety equipment (PPE). - Report all deviations and defects to supervisor. - Dispose all waste correctly and on a continuous basis. - Adhere to all safety instructions regarding clear walkways and obstructions. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified Artisan — Electrical or Mechatronics EXPERIENCE: One years' experience with mechanical & Electrical systems

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Maintenance & Electrical fundamentals; Minimum basic knowledge of workshop activities – like fitting works, Cable glanding, termination, tooling, knowledge to read mechanical assembly drawings, Electrical / Hydraulic schematic diagrams etc…
