Description of Job

The College of Applied Science and Engineering (CASE) at Colorado School of Mines welcomes applications for a temporary Program Assistant. Position will work 30-40 hours per week with some flexibility. Pay will be $22/hour.

The temporary Program Assistant will provide broad administrative support to the college faculty and staff to ensure consistent and quality service. Duties include purchasing and accounting, administrative support, database management, and office management. Position answers inquiries of visitors and students, organizes events, and arranges faculty and travel and processes reimbursement. Position assists with creation of marketing materials and website promotion. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of general clerical or administrative service experience. Heavy interaction with faculty, staff and students requires this position to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must also be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software such as Word and Excel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Administrative experience in higher education

  • Banner INB experience

  • Technical accounting experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
